WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Is a form of semi permanent  makeup that simulates hair using fine deposits of cosmetic tattoo pigments and it’s done using a very fine blade to deposit that pigment into the epidermis, this hand method technique used, is natural feathering of hair like strokes creating more natural, flawless, beautiful & fuller looking brows.

IS THE PROCEDURE PAINFUL?

You might feel a slight discomfort, pain is relative.

Some people say tweezing their brows is more painful.

Please consider prior to your procedure, NO alcohol, NO caffeine, DON’T schedule if your around your menstrual cycle because all of this will make you more sensitive.

ARE THERE ANY CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR PMU?

Yes, if you are under a physician’s care please obtain a release stating that is safe for you to have this procedure done, your health care provider will know if you will heal without any complications, or if you are prone to any infections.

Contraindications include: medications for any disease, diabetes, lupus, autoimmune disease, vitamins, supplements, blood thinners, heart medication, or any products that contains aspirin, this need to be stopped prior to your procedure, but only with the consent of your doctor or health care provider.

*Also you have to be off accutane for 1 year
*Botox should be performed 3 weeks before or 3 weeks after the procedure.

*You are not a good candidate if you have very large pores or severely oily skin.  your results will appear softer/solid or powdered looking.

* If you bleach your eyebrows, it is recommended not to have this procedure done.  the chemicals will bleach the hair & the pigment as well.

* No chemical peels 60 days prior and must wait 60 days after (avoiding the forehead is recommended)

* If you do frequent peels, the brows will fade quicker due to  retinols/retin-a's, other anti-aging creams or serums containing acids will fade your permanent makeup prematurely even after it is healed.

* Avoid alcohol or caffeine the day before & prior to the procedure, this will minimize any oozing/bleeding or swelling after the procedure

* It is recommended to stay out of the sun 2 weeks prior to your appointment and 2 weeks after.  Plan accordingly.

* Permanent makeup & microblading will not be performed if you are pregnant.  If you are nursing you may get the procedure but anesthesia cannot be applied to the skin.

* Do not take Aspirin, Fish Oil, Niacin, Vitamin E and/or Ibuprofen unless medically necessary, 48-72 hrs prior to your procedure.  Tylenol is fine.

WHAT WILL I LOOK LIKE AFTER MICROBLADING?

You & Your eyebrows will look fabulous, but depending on how many times we went over your strokes to implant the pigment, your skin might show a little red, maybe swollen and light signs of trauma.

Also your eyebrows will appear darker because of the blood & lymph, the procedure area will make a scab and this tissue will fall off around 5-7 days leaving a softer color and we will repeat this procedure at your touch up!
